SDG # 13 - Climate Action

Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts

  • 13.1.1: Proportion of population covered by multi-hazard early warning systems for climatic and geophysical hazards

    • This indicator measures the proportion of the population that has access to multi-hazard early warning systems for climatic and geophysical hazards, such as floods, droughts, and earthquakes, among others.

  • 13.1.2: Proportion of local governmental area with a publicly available and locally led adaptation plan

    • This indicator measures the proportion of local governmental areas that have publicly available and locally led adaptation plans in place. These plans outline the steps that the local government is taking to adapt to the impacts of climate change.

  • 13.2.1: Proportional mitigation contributions in line with the globally agreed upon below 2 degree Celsius target, by 2050

    • This indicator measures the extent to which countries are contributing to global efforts to limit the increase in global temperatures to below 2 degrees Celsius by 2050. This target is part of the Paris Agreement on climate change.

  • 13.2.2: Number of countries with integrated national adaptation and mitigation plans

    • This indicator measures the number of countries that have integrated national adaptation and mitigation plans in place. These plans outline the steps that the country is taking to both reduce emissions (mitigation) and adapt to the impacts of climate change (adaptation).

  • 13.3.1: Volume of greenhouse gas emissions, excluding land use, land-use change and forestry (LULUCF)

    • This indicator measures the volume of greenhouse gas emissions from human activities, excluding emissions from land use, land-use change and forestry. 13.3.2: Proportion of electricity generated from renewable sources This indicator measures the proportion of electricity generated from renewable sources such as wind, solar, and hydro power.

  • 13.3.3: Proportion of national renewable energy share in the total final energy consumption

    • This indicator measures the proportion of the country's total final energy consumption that is provided by renewable sources.
